Perkville Fitness Challenge: August 2019

The vertical jump test is a simple test to determine lower body muscular power. The goal of this test is to jump and reach as high as possible from a standing position. Prior to performing this test stand perpendicular against the wall and reach up the wall, the exercise physiologist will measure your reach height.  To perform the jump, slowly lower your body into a squat position, as you do this swing your arms behind you.  From this position jump was high as you can swinging your arms upwards reaching as high as you can, touching the marker on the wall. The difference between your reach height and your jump height is your score!
