OUTDOOR BOOT CAMP IS HERE!!
This Island Health & Fitness summer program is based on the CrossFit prescription of constantly varied, high-intensity, functional movement. Participants will be introduced to full-body purposeful movements, will be coached on technique, and each new skill will be incorporated into a fun and challenging workout at the end of each class.

Each workout will be presented with new challenges and an ever-changing stimulus by incorporating many different activities and skills, such as skipping, running, Olympic weight lifting, gymnastics, kettle bells, medicine balls, box jumps, tire flips, sledge hammers, pull ups, push ups, sit ups, squats, lunges, dips, back extensions, etc.

Class sizes are limited to ensure personal coaching for each participant. Regardless previous exercise background or current fitness level, committing to this boot camp will result in increased strength, endurance, balance, flexibility, and coordination. No one is ever asked to do more than what they are safely capable of, and with an ever-changing program, this training approach is motivating, challenging, and a lot of fun while getting fit at the same time. ...weblink for more details



SWIM MECHANICS & TECHNIQUE
The main focus will be on freestyle. Work will be focused on overall stroke (catch and pull), body rotation, kick, balance in the water, and incorporating drills into your swimming. We will also incorporate frame by frame video analysis into our teaching and your learning.
